Deye publishes its approved battery list as a PDF. That is the whole user experience: a scanned document, dozens of brands in a small table, two separate files depending on your inverter, and a version number in the corner that changes several times a year. If you are holding a specific battery and trying to answer one question — is this on the list, and what do I set on the inverter — the PDF makes you work for it. This guide turns that document into something you can actually read, and answers the three questions it never does.
Quick answer: Deye maintains two approved battery lists — a low-voltage list for 48V systems (current version DY-LV48-0109, issued 24 July 2025) and a separate high-voltage list for SG01HP3-series inverters (DY-HV(160-800)-021). If your inverter model isn’t in either list above, you’re likely reading the wrong document for your hardware entirely.
Version drift is worth taking seriously rather than treating as a footnote. Across the sites that host copies of Deye’s list, we found five distinct LV48 revisions still circulating: 0037, 0076, 0103, 0109 and 0126. A battery genuinely missing from a 2023-era 0037 copy can appear in the current 0109 revision, and the reverse happens too when a model is discontinued. The practical habit: don’t bookmark a PDF. Re-check the current version each time a pairing decision actually matters, because the page you saved six months ago is very possibly not the page Deye publishes today.
Question 2: Is my model actually on it?
The LV48 list is long. Deye approves over 80 battery brands for its 48V hybrid range, which tells you something structural about the platform before you read a single model number: this is an open ecosystem, and Deye is not trying to lock you to its own packs.

Question 3: What do I actually set on the inverter?
Here is the detail worth knowing before you start hunting through menus. On the LV48 list, essentially every approved battery is set up the same way: CAN communication, Inverter Setup value 00. Deye does not assign a different profile code per battery brand.
That is genuinely different from how some other platforms work. Growatt, for example, maps each approved battery to its own Lithium Mode code — 00 for some packs, 01, 02, 03 or 04 for others — and setting the wrong one is a common cause of a battery that wires up correctly and still refuses to communicate. Your Battery Isn’t on the List. Now What?
This is the most common real-world scenario, and the reason people search for specific model numbers in the first place. A worked example: BALF-512314-V2 is a model people look up against Deye’s list regularly. It does not appear on either the current LV48 list (DY-LV48-0109) or the high-voltage list (DY-HV(160-800)-021). That is a factual answer, not a verdict on the battery.
What being off-list actually means, in order of practical importance:

The practical route when your model isn’t printed: ask the battery supplier directly whether their BMS implements the Deye CAN protocol and whether they have field pairings with your exact inverter model. A supplier who has actually done it will answer with specifics — inverter models, firmware, settings. One who hasn’t will answer with “it should work”. What the List Tells You About the Platform
Step back from individual model numbers and the list says something useful about buying decisions. Approving 80+ third-party brands, on one protocol, with one setup value, is the behaviour of a platform that expects you to bring your own battery. For an installer or distributor, an open list is leverage: you can compare packs on usable capacity, cycle life and landed cost rather than taking whatever the inverter brand sells — whether that is a 5.12 kWh 100Ah unit for smaller stacks or a larger module for whole-home work. Common Mistakes When Using the Deye List
1. Reading an old revision
Wrong: Downloading the first “Deye approved battery list” PDF a search returns. Right: Check the version number and issue date printed on the page — several revisions are in circulation on third-party sites.
2. Checking the wrong list entirely
Wrong: Looking for a 48V pack on the high-voltage list. Right: LV48 for SG01LP1-type 48V hybrids, HV for SG01HP3-series.
3. Matching the brand but not the model
Wrong: “Pylontech is approved, so this Pylontech pack is fine.” Right: Approval is per model. US3000C being listed says nothing about a model that isn’t.
4. Assuming off-list means unusable
Wrong: Discarding a good battery because it isn’t printed. Right: It means unvalidated, not unsafe — ask the supplier for evidence of field pairings with your inverter model.
